Issue with Email channel and OAuth token

After upgrading Jira, I've noticed the following in the configuration of the email channel.
I would like to make an attempt to reauthorize the account. I believe that this will "refresh" the token in Google which now seems broken/expired.
I can't find any related article and I am a bit scared to click that button. Will this have an impact on how the emails are fetched in Jira? Is it safe to proceed?
