I recently added an issue type in admin>project settings. However, when I try to add the issue type to my team based project, it doesn't appear. Additionally, many of the issues in the admin area don't appear, only Epic, Bug and Story.

There will be changes for team managed and company managed projects, the issuetype you have added to comapny managed project will not appear in team managed projects

Service portal would have been already created If you go to project settings in that portal settings you will have the link to the customer portal.

Goto Project settings>Portal settings , You will have the URL to the portal
