This will allow you to edit the story points for the issuetypes that have the Story Points field in scope, but will protect you from having your userbase enter Story Points for Epics
Hello @Tallis.Vanek
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Are you trying to set the field through the UI or through an automation rule? That looks like a message that would come from an automation rule.
The message implies that the field customfield_10300 is not included on the Edit screen for the type of issue that you are attempting to update. Can you confirm that the Story Point field that is available for that issue type correlates to the custom field with ID number 10300?
If this is from an Automation Rule, can you confirm that you can manually set the story points field on the issue directly through the UI?

I have the same issue, its not an automation. It happens when you want to change the SP of a child ticket from the epic directly rather than opening the child ticket to add the SP.

Hello @lila
Can you open PLAYG2-2 and edit the story points directly in that issue?
The Story points field needs to be available for editing directly in the screen for the issue you are trying to change, in order to be able to change the value through the Child Issues display.
(For future reference, when you update a post the only people that see your update are the original author, the people that have already responded, and people who chose to Watch the post. That is very limited visibility when you are updating an old post like this one that is over a year old. Rather than adding to an old post, create a brand new Question of your own. If an old post is relevant to your question, add a link to it in your new Question. Creating a new Question post will make your Question more visible to the wider community by putting it on the first page of the forum and having it come up in the Unanswered Questions filters.)
