Hello,
I would like the customer that raises a request to view (when creating an issue) a file with a pre-uploaded specific file. He may then be able to download it.
I tested the issue field attachment, but I saw no option for a default value.
I have already found a plugin that does that, but since it is not free, I would first like to know if jira service management has that ability by itself.

Thanks so much for your question.
You can use the “Help and instructions” section on the “Edit fields” page of a request type in question. There you can use Jira Markup to, for example, provide a link to a file. Please see the screenshot for an example:
Unfortunately, using a file custom field won’t do the trick, since, as you have noticed, it can’t have a default value, neither can it be hidden from the “Create request” form.
