×I've been trying to create an Automation that creates subtasks for a specific Process in our company. But whenever I run it I get this error code which translates to ,,The parent process does not belong to the corresponding hierarchy".
Hi Scherdin,
Can you share your rule that you have here? That will help us to better check it.
Thank you for that. Can you now show us the details of the Create Issue action?

Thanks. What issue type is the issue being created?
And what is your Issue Type Hierarchy?

Go to Settings > Issues > Issue Type Hierarchy
But I don't think you will find set up will support what you are trying to do. You are trying to make a service-request issue the parent of a task issue.
You probably should not populate the Parent field on the create - get rid of that field.
Then after your create action, add an action to Link Issues.

Hello,@scherdin Receiptify Music
The error "The parent process does not belong to the corresponding hierarchy" usually means that the subtasks you're trying to create don't align correctly with the parent task's structure or category. Here's how to fix it:
Check Parent Task: Ensure that the parent task is correctly set up within the appropriate process and hierarchy.
Verify Subtasks: Confirm that the subtasks you're creating are allowed within the parent task's process.
Hierarchy Settings: Double-check the hierarchy settings to make sure the parent task and subtasks belong to the same process flow.
Automation Rules: Review the automation rules to ensure they are correctly configured to target the appropriate parent task.
Adjusting these settings should resolve the error and allow your automation to create subtasks correctly.
I hope the answer wil help you
