Issue Not Cloning When Moved to Done

Hello,

We are currently using Jira Server, and previously when we move our issues to Done, the issue would clone itself automatically (for future use). Now, however, the issues are not cloning when moving to done for some reason.

Also, I have seen people suggest going to "automation" in project settings, however, I do not see any "automation" in the project settings, perhaps because we are using Jira Server?

Is it possible to be able to automatically clone issues again while moving to status of Done like it was before?

Welcome to the community.  In your case, you must have customized the WF when issue moves into done, it then create the cloned issue via WF's post function call.  Please check your WF configuration to determine why it is not working now.

In regarding to Automation, this is for Cloud and Data Center env.  Automation for Jira is now a out of the box component add-on free of charge.  However, it is not for Jira Server.  

There is a light version of this add-on for Jira Server which you need to manually install to your env - https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211836/automation-for-jira-server-lite?hosting=server&tab=overview

It is important that you know Jira Server support is coming EOL in Feb, 2024.  You need to the take the necessary action to migrate to Data Center or Cloud - Please refer to this posting - https://www.atlassian.com/migration/assess/journey-to-cloud
