Sateesh Chandra February 11, 2021

Hi ,

We are looking for a way to restrict users from creating issues from service desk portal , for few request types. The reason being, our users do not want issues to be created for a few request types , but the request types must be visible on the portal request type list.

Regards,

Sateesh

Hi @Sateesh Chandra

You will not find any app with a hide request type feature on Jira Service Management Cloud. Atlassian API doesn't allow any app to do it.

You can try Feature Bundle and its Dynamic announcements feature as a workaround. You could display information about create restrictions for particular request types. It will not prevent customers from creating a ticket but will inform them.

Cheers,

Hi @Sateesh Chandra

You cannot make some customers see certain Request type and not others, for that you should create two different portals.

To obtain this functionality in the same portal, you could use the addon Extension For Jira Service Management

I hope it helps you.

Greetings

Hi Paloma,

All users may see the request type and the portal. They should not able to raise the request. I want error to come when the submit button is clicked.

Regards.
