Is it possible to use a customer account to link via an API to raise, assign & close requests?


I am trying to find out if I can link a SOAR solution to a single portal-only customer account of Jira Service Management via Restful API such that, the customer account can:

(1) create new requests

(2) assign requests to Jira Agent accounts

(3) close the requests via the SOAR

This portal-only customer account would exist purely for automating request creation, assigning of requests, and closure of requests. 

I guess a key question here would be, can a portal-customer account be given permissions to close requests and assign created requests to Jira agents...? - I was hoping that enabling the normally hidden ASSIGNEE field in the customer portal would do the trick, but I'm not too sure... Maybe I can used the System Admin account for this instead...
