Is it possible to restrict the dashboards and gadgets that JIRA Service Desk Team users can create?

Is it possible to restrict the ability of creating new dashboards or gadgets to admins only on JIRA Service Desk? We would like to have one set default dashboard for our team and to restrict team members from creating their own.

Hi @Jordan Jacakyou can restrict users from creating Dashboards and filters from the Global Permissions tab (Cog Wheel -> System -> Global Permissions).

Thanks, @Mihai Schwarz! Will this just prevent users from sharing their created dashboards and filters, or will it actually prevent them from creating them?

@Jordan Jacak  Just searching for the same thing and to answer your question (although its years since you asked ;) ), it will just prevent them from sharing their boards with others, so they'll still be able to create them and use them for their own good.

 

I was hoping I could prevent them from creating dashboards or filters at all, at least for most users. The reason being that a lot of users are not proficient with JQL and will typically create filters with f.ex assignee = "their user" instead of everyone using a global filter with assignee = current user.

We currently have close to 2000 filters and 350 dashboards and several of them are duplicate filters basically doing the same thing or people will f.ex create one saved filter that targets one Epic to show all child issues of that one, single epic.
