Is it possible to create a scheduled automation for the Nth weekday of each month?

David Sutherin August 17, 2022

I'd like to be able to schedule a recurring task which runs, for example, on the 3rd Saturday of each month

I see options for the first and last specified weekday of the month (e.g., first/last Saturday) or a particular date (e.g., the 10th) but I don't see any way to schedule automations for the Nth specified weekday of each month.

Using a cron expression could potentially work but I'd prefer a more straightforward solution, if available.

I suppose I should've just RTFM... I'm not familiar with this option in Linux CRON but Jira supports it:

Special Characters > #

Specifies the nth occurrence of a given day of the week. For example, 'TUES#2' (or '3#2') means 'the second Tuesday of the month'
