We are experiencing intermittent issues with email connection for our 4 service desk projects. We've only experienced when we upgraded to 4.22.1 although clearly it could have happened before I wouldn't have known.
As a result we're not creating support tickets and customers are getting frustrated.
Any thoughts please?

As you are self-hosted, anything you can see in the logs? (Errors when creating/Connection issues?)
without more information this could be pretty much anything. Also have you looped in the people responsible for your email service?
