Hi,

In JSM how to Export and Import the Issues from one Instance to another.

Is there any way for that Export and and import only for Issues (Incidents, Service Request etc..)

Hi @[deleted],

Assuming you are Jira Admin, in the source instance:

• Go to 'Issues' --> 'Search for issues'
• Provide the JQL query to filter for Incident and Service Request issues in a particular project 
• Ensure that you have selected all the required columns to be displayed for each of the tickets
• Click on 'Export' and select 'CSV (Current fields)' option
• Choose the delimiter as 'Comma (,)'
  
  This will export the data to the *.csv file and will be downloaded to your local system automatically.

Then in target instance:

• Go to 'System' --> External System Import' 
• Select 'CSV'
• Select the file you have downloaded earlier
• Leave the default values and click on 'Next'
• Select the project you want to import the issues to
• Map the fields accordingly
  • If you choose to map the 'Issue key' field also, the existing tickets in the target instance with the same issue key will be updated
  • If you choose NOT to map the 'Issue key' field, then the issues in the CSV file are created as new tickets in the target instance
• Follow the subsequent steps and confirm the settings to start the import process
