Hi There!
We have many users in Active Directory with their own credentials. We would like to import them into Jira Service Management (from now JSM). How is it possible to make it (OnPrem. vs Cloud)? After the import method can we setup their rights in JSM? Which exact version should we pay for related to be able to import users?
Thank you in advance!
On-premise is pretty easy to do it - just go to User Directories -> Add Directory -> Microsoft Active Directory and fill in your data.
On the cloud, you need to have Azure Active Directory, if not, there are some third-party plugins that can do the integration for you.
Yes after the import you can customize the access.
What's your version of JSM? Cloud or on-premise?
Hi Albert!
We have the cloud version of JSM. Can you name one or two of the third-party plugins? Can you also send me some screenshots about the import method or a quick note about the steps?
Thank you!

Here you have the integration for the SAML with AD - on-premise: https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/configure-saml-single-sign-on-with-ad-fs/
And here is for cloud with Azure: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/saas-apps/atlassian-cloud-tutorial

Hi @Albert Manuel ,
So just to get it right, to load employees from Active Directory to JSM Cloud, we will also require to subscribe to Atlassian Access, right?

Thank you
