Import parts of JSM cloud - from old to new JSM Cloud site

Hello Jira Community,

We are using Jira Service Management Cloud, with Service Desk (SD), Change Management (CM) and Problem Management features enabled.

Recently, we decided to separate SD, CM & PM and Work Management projects and are now implementing a new JSM Cloud Site.

We have come across some challenges in the implementation of the new site and seek some guidance.

In our current JSM, we have some customized SD (Request) Forms, Workflows, CM Workflows, Custom Fields, etc., that we like to export to the new site (selective customizations /config alone) and leave the data behind - can this be done and how ?

We do not want to do a backup / restore or an export / import of the whole site, because it defeats the purpose of separating the projects and it could also carry certain config that we do not want in the new site.

So far, I have looked around in JSM and did not find any option to export / download forms or settings in any (.csv or .txt) format, either in JSM Configuration page or on 'Custom Fields' or 'Workflows' under Issues, or 'Service Requests' under Project Settings.

I have also searched the community for similar posts and found some suggestions that are elaborate - such as, creating a new staging site, backup/restore to the site, delete all that is not required and again backup / restore to another (new) site.

Any other suggestions are appreciated and thanks for your time.

Thanks

Sreekanth

Hi @Sreekanth Kannan

The Revyz Data Manager for Jira allows you to copy configuration data from one cloud site to another in granular manner i.e. you can specifically pick what you want to copy, we will be releasing an update to the app soon to include moving issues and attachments too.

We would love for you to try what we have built thus far to see if it addresses your needs. Let me know if you are interested in a demo.

Thanks

Vish
