I want to use automation with Portal Groups

Hello,

I'd like to use automation to create a condition on Portal Groups.

You can access it via Portal Settings > Portal Groups

Is it possible via smartvalues or something else?

Kind Regards,

V

The short answer is that it cannot be done, the group is not stored anywhere.

Hello Mikael,

Greatly appreciate your prompt reply.

As a follow-up question is there a way in the Request Form to add a custom field and pull in the value of the Portal Group that is being used and make it hidden in the portal but visible and able to query for it in the form?

Kind Regards,

Veronica

Also I see in the portal the Portal Group name is in a Contact us about field while creating a ticket.
Can that data be pulled into the Additional Details somehow?

No, you cannot add a hidden field that has the portal group in it. I brought this up with the product team about a year ago, and the response was that the group is just a way to organize your request types and that is where the relationship ends. There is no way to extract the group so you can use it somewhere else.
