Im currently using Jira to manage business objectives . In order to ensure business team really appreciate the work, I would be glad if you can create an issue and name it KPI just like we have story.

For the Business Objective  , I use EPIC issue;

I could have used story as KPI but it wont resonate with the business team very well. So business objective is thr parent however I need a child issue called KPI. Kindly add KPI to jira a a chikd issue.Most business team would love it.

Creating new issue types is something you can perfectly do yourself. If your projects are company managed, then your Jira Administrator should do that for you.
