How to turn off email notifications as a customer

I'm a customer and I get a notification for every single thing that happens on each Jira ticket I've raised, including when I raise them - which I already know because I've done it myself. This means I'm missing vital updates and am at risk of the project being delayed - for context, I have 136 notifications for only 26 tickets, which is crazy.

I've been to settings and there are no notification settings available to me on my customer account. My profile settings allow me to change my name and picture and very little else. I've ready the official help pages, but these are all geared towards service-providers and customers don't get the same settings.

I understand your frustration, it must be annoying. When you go to your personal settings, you have the option for projects and issues:

As a customer, you can only to these things.

However, admin of the project needs to manage the Customer notifications, which are here:
