How to show full email address of reporter / request participant

Hi

we'd like to have full email address displayed in the fields Reporter and Request Participants. is there a way to do that?

as of now we only see the part before the @ sign. for we've added users using only email address and nothing else.

hard to send example because of privacy issues.

any suggestion is welcome, thanks

that brings another question, is when I send out automation emails using the smart value {{issue.comments.reverse}} and a comment contains an      @     let me use yours in this case. @Trudy Claspill which shows correctly in the web interface, but in the email sent out instead of the format we see here, we see this: [~accountid:12341341345JIRA-ACCOUNT-IDNUMBERS] where of course after ~accountid: there's an actual jira account id.

there's no way to change this either right?

No, you cannot change what is displayed in those fields.

They will show the Full name associated with the Atlassian Cloud account for the user.

The Full Name in each user account would have to be changed to match the email address.

mentions in comments, comment body sent in email through Automation, shows user account id - Can that be changed?

I am not aware of a way to change that. The email shows the account ID whether the format is html or plain text.

The only method I can think of would be to parse the comment body and do your own steps to replace the account IDs with names, and then put the modified text into an email instead of the original comment.
