How to search multiple object types in Assets for data?

Our professional services team created many different object types when they setup JSM for us.  If I needed to see see information in a custom field we created for Desktop, Laptops and Tablets how would I do this global search?   I can do the search in each individual types but I need to know how to do the search overall all the different 60+ object types.

You can search for objects with Assets Query Language (AQL) by selecting an object schema, selecting Filter search and selecting Advanced. In the text box, enter an AQL statement and select Update to filter the results.

But this only shows results for that specific object type you are currently on, when writing your AQL.

I believe what @Brenda Stinnett is looking for is not possible, yet. There is a feature request for this functionality: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-9908

This was a huge hinderance for us.  We took all our multiple object types and consolidated it to one big group and then we could filter and query exactly how we needed.
