How to restrict requests from appearing in the portal?

Julia Yurchak November 1, 2023

We've got 2 JSM projects, one of which is internal and the second one is for customers. However, configuring the portal we noticed, that request forms of the internal project are still available in the portal (not visible, but can be searched), though we tried to hide them.

What we did is the following:
1) Hide the internal project portal from help center
2) restrict users to raise requests to internal project

Any ideas how to figure this out?

Many thanks!

Hi @Julia Yurchak

How are the Customer permissions set on both projects?

For the internal project I would, set this to: Restricted (only users added as a customer can a raise requests)

Only grant the customer role to your internal users.

For the external project, you can leave this open for sign-up if this is required (if you don't know all your external users)

Finally figured out what has happened.

Customers can see & search only external project's request types, whereas admins and sd team can see & search for both external project's and internal project's request types (which is not critical but still strange).

So, it's OK for now, question resolved, I guess.

Many thanks
