How to get the sub-task key

Yoann HEYMANN February 21, 2023

Hi All,

In a automation, I want to send a email to a technical team, when subtask are created.

Basicly, a user open a ticket (Service Request) for an onboarding, a automation created 5 subtask on this issue. So I have a parent ticket HDS-XXXX and 5 subtask HDS-XXX1 to HDS-XXX5.

After created subtask, I want to send a email notification to a technical team, with the 5 subtask number, but I can't find a smart value for that...

If I use {{issue.key}} I have the parent issue key.

Do you have another smart value, like {{sub-task.key}} to do that ?

Thnaks for your expertise  :-)

Hi @Yoann HEYMANN , please see this reference - automation-smartvalues-createdIssue

you can use the following within your automation...

{createdIssue}}

Accesses the previous issue created in the rule.

Available properties

Any property used with the {{issue}} smart value can also be used with {{createdIssue}}

{{createdIssues}}

A list of issues that have been created in the rule

I use this smart value : {{createdIssues.key}} and I get my subtask key.

Thanks for your expertise !
