How to delink all the issue linked to another issue once it is move to invalid/deferred status

Assuming we are having issue types 'A' and 'B'. All the 'B' issues are linked to 'A' issue type through the specific linkage.

We have a requirement that once 'A' issue type is moved to certain workflow status(for example say when we want to mark that issue type as invalid/deferred) all the tagged 'B' type issues should be delinked from the existing 'A' issue type.

How can we achieve this functionality?
