How to cover Asset and Contract Management within JSM cloud (standard subscription)?

Hello everyone,

A client of our has asked us whether we can handle Asset and Contract Management processes while using JSM Cloud on standard subscription, just like it covers the incident management, service management and change management functions.

If yes, then how, and if no, then which app/plugin is best for this?

I have been trying to explore 'Assets' but apparently it seems to be available for Enterprise and Premium subscriptions only, please correct me if I am wrong.

Natively within Jira - you'll need Premium or Enterprise as you mention for Asset Management - see more information here: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/service-management/features/asset-and-configuration-management

The Marketplace also offers some options, I'd check out Apps like...

• Assets and Inventory Plugin for Jira
• IT Asset Management for Jira
• ...or another option from the Marketplace

In terms of Contract Management, it depends on the need?

A CMDB can be used to manage a contract and its execution, but if this is the process to get a contract reviewed it could also easily be a Request Type for Legal, with a custom workflow/screen.

If you want to generate a contract, it might be possible to do something using Confluence - but I think a contract management platform (especially if it has digital signature capabilities) might be a better option, connected to JSM.

That's not to say there aren't Apps you could try...

• Electronic Signatures
• Speedy PDF Sign-Offs
• Scroll PDF Exporter - to help create a PDF from Confluence
• ...etc
