How to copy an Insight Object's attribute to another attribute on the same object?

Hi,

We have an object type called contacts, where the name of the contact has been set as the label.

Now we need to do an import of contacts and are faced with the following:
In the import, the matching is done on the attribute that has the label.

It seems now that we have multiple contacts with the same name, but other attributes like mail address and customer are different.

When we import, the existing contact is updated instead of a new one created....

To resolve this, we would like to set the mail address attribute as the label.

But the mail address attribute has a type value of 'Email' and therefore cannot be set as label.

We where thinking now to add an new attribute to be used as mail address, but with type 'text' so that we can use it as the label and also use it to match the records when importing.

We need now a way to fill this new attribute with the value of the existing attribut mail address.

Any suggestions?

Any other ways you guys see to solve this import issue?

ok, I figured it out, actually in an import I could set the identifier to another attribute, in this case the email address as this is a unique value.

HI Wim
How you figured out this?
