How to add team as participants?

In our use case, there are times for either customer or agent to add multiple people as participants. So we create some teams in Atlassian. But neither customer nor agent can add a team as participants from the front end portal or the JSM project console. Can anyone help? If team is not the right approach, what should be the right way to accomplish what we need? Thanks.

Request participants must be individual users not teams. You will need to add each individual. You might consider using automation to add all the people if indeed they are consistently the same.
