Hi,
I have a simple Service request with approvals request and I need the approver to fill out a text field (with info only they would know) when approving the request.
I cannot figure out how to do that simply.
Thanks,
Cyrille
Hi Cyrille,
You should be able to add a Transition screen to the transition based on the status when it is approved. Then put in a Validator to make sure the field is not empty.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
@John Funk it doesn't seem to work. upon reading the documentation it states :
"Transitions used by the approval step skip transition screens"
Any way around that?
All I need is for the approver to enter a comment really (simple text field) whether they approve or decline.
Thanks!
Cyrille

Ah, I forgot about that. Maybe add a transition screen to the previous step of the workflow. Also include a custom field with Approve or Decline. Based on that field value changing, create an automation rule that does an Approve.
