How to Prevent Email Signatures and Social Media Icons from Being Added as Attachments in Tickets?

Hi

I'm encountering an issue in Jira Cloud where email signatures, along with social media icons etc, are being included in the ticket details and the icons are also being added as attachments. These icons often appear oversized and clutter the ticket view especially with multiple replies.

Could anyone advise on how to configure Jira to filter out or strip these signatures and icons so they are not included in the tickets and as attachments? Additionally, if there are ways to prevent the icons from appearing oversized when they are included, that would be very helpful.

Here is a workaround provided by Atlassian.

Delete unwanted attachments from JSM requests using Automation

 

Please note:

Attachments once deleted can't be recovered. Please adjust the regex to suit your use case scenario and test it in your sandbox environment before using it in production.
