How to Create Query on Custom Forms or Request Type

Each of our service desk Request Types are based on Custom Forms.  We are needing to generate stats on what number and percent of Service Desk tickets fall into each category.  When creating a new report or query, and select Request Type, I get a message that reads:

"To search by Request Type please switch to advanced."

I'm not seeing an option anywhere to switch to advanced, but if that is saying to switch to JQL, then I would not know the right syntax in JQL to get counts and/or a list of issues that fall into each Request Type.  Help on that would be very appreciated.

Here is a screenshot of our current custom Forms and associated Request Types:

Thanks for your insights.

Looks like my answer is to create a wide-open search with only criteria being the project I want data on, and then Export the data to an Excel csv file so I can do my analysis there.

If anyone else has a better answer, that would be cool to see, but this will suffice.

Thanks.
