I need to keep a record of all past issues, and so far it has not being deleted automatically. I am wondering if they stay in resolved status until I delete them or do they disappear after certain time. are there any settings?

When issues are in "Resolved" status doesn't mean they have been closed depending on how your workflow is configured. They will stay in the resolved state indefinitely, however you can configure an automation that will transition those issues to the "Closed" status which should make the issue completely resolved.
On the notion of deletion, issues don't get deleted automatically, that's a manual process, although you could use automation to automate that process as well.

The issues stay in JSD till the time you delete them explicitly.
