There's a help page that vaguely talks about some sounds Atlassian has licensed(?) for the iOS Jira Cloud app.  Doesn't say how to select them, or how to do it on Android.  I haven't found a way on the app yet.

Pagerduty and OpsGenie both had a way to configure usage of locally stored ring/alert tones, hopefully, the "new and improved" JSM isn't a step backward.

In simple terms, you don't. It's unfortunate that Atlassian decided not to support something that was in the predecessor app (OpsGenie) back in 2023. You can also read some inaccurate documentation they've created here .

Hi @Samuel Howard Welcome to the community!

In the below doc, they have mentioned that sounds are not licensed by Atlassian.

iOS is iPhone only ... I'm all Android.

PagerDuty also had the ability to use custom alert tones.  :(
