Hi there,
I've set up two automations, one that changes the status when an agent is assigned, and one that goes back and forth from "in progress" to "waiting for customer" depending on who the last comment is from.
The issue i'm now having is that when automation makes any changes i get sent an email about a change that I already know about. I couldn't find a way to turn these off so i made a rule in outlook to just move them to a different folder but then Jira will group the notifications together for each ticket, so emails letting me know of a new comment will get grouped with an automation alert and get moved to a different folder.
Does anyone know a way around this?
Cheers
Hello @cmclean
If you are receiving the email because of the Notifications configured for the project, there is no way to in Jira to have it not send you emails from a particular user.
If you change the actor of the rule to yourself, then in your profile settings you can uncheck the box that says get emails for actions you take.
I tried setting it to whoever triggers the event but that stopped the whole rule from working for some reason
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Whomever triggers the event would have to have sufficient permissions in the project to execute the actions called out in the rules.

Have you tried setting the actor of the rule to yourself and unchecking the specified box under the email options in your profile?
