Is there a way to have the assignee field show up when I create a link issue on a ticket in JSM.
We are using it has a help-desk and have to link technical issue to another board for our dev team to work on but the assign field is not available which mean we have to go into the other board and assign it? Is there a way we can get the field to show up on the create link issue form?
Cheers,
Hi @Michelle ,
Check out this resource for how to set up an Automation rule to automatically assign an issue: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/automation-template-library/auto-assign
If you want to be able to decide/confirm the assignee when creating the linked issue (versus setting up a rule with Automation) and you are open to apps, Elements Copy & Sync could be helpful. (FYI, I work for Elements).
Here's a short demo of how a support issue can be copied to a software project, with the possibility to modify/confirm fields before the linked issue is created: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxcOT2imgHQ
No this is not possible. Maybe you could leverage Automation to set the Assignee?
