Hi, I've been trying to figure out how I can make a template out of several issues as epics with certain set subtasks and several regular tasks. We are trying to make a standard setup for various projects in sofrware developlemt using Kanban boards. Alot of the tasks are standard tasks we use on every project.
I was hoping there was a possibility to make one project and use it as a template to generate other projects based on all the issues used in the given template.
I've been looking at several apps, but I've not found any that have quite met my requirements, nor any way of doing it without apps.
Anyone who has any idea on how to do this? (I'm a project manager and not a developer if that is any usefull info in regards to solution).
Best regards,
Martin Bergholtz
Hi @Martin Bergholtz - There is a workaround with native tooling that I explain here:
However, as I mention in my answer it comes with quite a few limitations and ultimately, you're probably best to use a marketplace app and a common one is Deep Clone.
Deep Clone seems to do the job perfectly, I'll look into that. Thank you!

Hello @Martin Bergholtz
If you're willing to use a third-party application, I can suggest trying our Elements Copy & Sync app that allows you to copy issues with all their content (summary, description, custom fields, comments, attachments, etc.) and their child issues.
You’ll be able to easily create a template project and copy it every time you need to start a new one.
Don't hesitate to try our app, it's free during 30 days and stays free under 10 users.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Clara
