Hi all,
I am stuck with this. I was recently noticed by some users that they have never seen the dropdown window that suggest participants once a request is created in the portal, in the request type field.
Strange thing, as I type in this field, users are suggested to me, So i guess it is a matter of permissions, as I am the Jira manager. But i can't just find how to fix this situation.
Any help?
Thank you in advanced,
Samuel.
@Samuel Márquez _ Home Select -
Welcome to the community. Customers via the portal will have to key in the actual email address of users for Requested Participant entries.
It is my understanding that this permission is related to the Global Permission setup of "Browse users and groups" which by default is not suited for Customers where users can see a list of recommended users.
Hope this helps.
Best, Joseph Chung Yin
hi @Joseph Chung Yin thank you so much for the welcome and the help.
Got it!
At the beginning, you solution didn't work, but because there was another permission configuration at the project level that was allowing user to add by email by not searching by project. Now it works!

Hi @Samuel Márquez _ Home Select welcome to the community. I could be wrong, but I don't think that is an option from the Portal. It's my understanding that customers would manually enter the email address to people that they would like added to as Request Participants.
I don't think I've ever seen a dropdown for that selection.
There would need to be added functionality added to the application, because I would say the dropdown would need to restrict by customers from the specific organization if it was a customer adding people. They shouldn't be able to add just anyone to that box.
I don't believe that functionality exists to restrict by organization.
Hope that helps.
