We have been told by our clients that they have been receiving every issue’s updates, though they can’t change the status on them. We would like to allow the customer to change an issue’s status on their end from “Waiting for Customer” to “Waiting for Assistance”, “Resolved”, or “Canceled”.
Is there any way to do this?

Yes. When editing the workflow, you need to click on the transition you want the customer to be able to execute and check the box to show it on the customer portal.
