Hello everyone. I am visualising all the EPICs present in my software project in JIRA in a list view (Menu > List). This view is very cool because it allows me to see all the EPICs in my project. Here is what I am visualising in the list: Type, Key, Summary, Status, Assignee.
I'd like to visualise also the EPIC description, which is where I describe what the EPIC is about. Can someone tell me how I do this? When I click on the "+" button to add a field in the list view I cannot find the field "Description". Thank you!
Hi @Francesco Bria,
the list view has originally been launched as part of Jira Work Management and only recently became available in Jira Software, as part of the recent combination of JWM and JSW into a single Jira. I seems like some of the Jira Software fields are not available yet, but I'd expect them to become available in the future. (See also this page for reference.)
Hope this helps,
Best,
Hannes
... and just to add to the above: If you're looking for an immediate resolution and are open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a range of advanced features - including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting - and works across any number of projects.
Plus, it supports all issue fields, including the Description field.
This is how it looks in action:

At my company we cannot add apps so looking for this to become publicly available in the native application.
