FOR JIRA SERVICE MANAGEMENT
I am trying to create an automation that will edit Summary of the request and add the prefix with Request Type.
I have done it through:
When > Issue Created
Edit Issue> Field: Summary > [This is where I need help] - what should be the object for Request type name? I have tried issue.issuetype.name but it just adds Task/Bug etc.
Ex. If the new issue isuse has request type "Delete xxx" and user inputs summary
Edited summary should be "Delete xxx" - <user provided summary>
@Nirav Patel - try the {{issue.Request Type.requestType.name}} smart value in your automation rule, eg:
