Hi Team,
We wanted an updated solution for Daily backup with Issues and other.
Does Jira have Inbuilt feature for backing up everything like projects, boards, fields, screens and everything.
What are all the solution does Jira have for backing up ?
Please reference the following Atlassian docs for more info on what Atlassian's responsibilities are and how infrastructure level backups work -
Atlassian Security Practices | "We do not use these backups to revert customer-initiated destructive changes, such as fields overwritten using scripts, or deleted issues, projects, or sites. To avoid data loss, we recommend making regular backups."
Cloud Security Shared Responsibilities - As a customer you re responsible for your data in Atlassian App's. Keep in mind Atlassian is not unique in that regard, Microsoft, Salesforce etc.. have very similar policies.
I am part of Revyz where we help customers with their data backup and configuration management needs in Atlassian Cloud.
We have four apps in the Atlassian marketplace:
Revyz Data Manager for Jira | Key features include, Automated backups, Granular Restore support for Jira Objects including Issues, JSM Assets, site to site configuration data clone, automation rules backup and much more. You can read about its capabilities here.
Revyz Configuration Manager for Jira | Key features include, investigative tools to understand configuration changes, granular cloning and restoration of configuration objects and much more. You can read about its capabilities here.
Revyz Assets Data Manager for Jira | Key features include, Automated backup of Assets data which includes Assets config and Assets Objects, Granular restore and much more.
Revyz Data Manager for Confluence | Key features include, Automated backups, Granular Restore support for Confluence and much more
Ofcourse you can build your own backup solution here is more information from an earlier post of mine.
Hope this information helps.
Thanks
Vish

Sorry for the slow response!
Atlassian does provide a way to backup your data, it is manual though. Using our plugin you can automate that process and we also support granular data recovery which will be important for your if you do not want to have any disruptions of your operations.
You have full access to your data via our app, we are working on additional features which will give you more control to your data.
It would be great to have a introductory call, appreciate it if if you could message me here vish@revyz.io
Thank you
Vish

Hi @Santhosh Raj ,
Jira has a build-in backup option, which allows you to manually export data to back up Jira. The option allows you to back up your Jira at any time, though, if you need to include attachments, avatars, logos to your backups, it's possible to do it only once during 48 hours. So, you will need to wait 48 hours before performing next backup. Here is Atlassian documentation for reference: Export data from Jira Cloud.
As an alternative, you can try backup addons. For example GitProtect backup and Disaster Recovery software for Jira.
With GitProtect backups, you can have automated scheduled bakups, multi-storage compatibility, replication between storages, unlimited retention, encryption with custom key, ransomware protection, Disaster Recovery technology, including point-in-time restore, granular recovery, restore to the same or new account, restore to your local device, restore to a free Jira account with a no-user recovery option, etc.
You can learn more about our soluton from our main webpage: GitProtect backups for Jira Software, Jira Work Management, and Jira Service Management and try it free for 14 days.
Hope, you' ll find this information helpful,
Best Regards,
Daria
