Hi,
I have a need to show the hierarchy of tasks that are parent/child related. But I can't see this relationship in the Plan/Adv Roadmap.
For example:
Note: I cannot use sub-tasks for Client work because I need them to see it on the portal.
When I set the relationship to parent/child on these tasks, the Client Task shows in the Plan/Adv Roadmap under "issues without parent".
Short of using an add-on, is there a way to show this parent/child relationship in the Plan/Adv Roadmap??
Thank you.
The easiest way would be to use issue links to create your own hierarchy, ie a task under a task. However there is no native way to visualize hierarchy based on issue links.
We have built an app for the same use case to visualize hierarchy based on issue links. If you are open for mktplace solution you can try it out,
In the example below, we have created a story below a story.

Hi Allie,
For sure you will not be able to show this type of hierarchy with Advanced Roadmaps. You cannot show two levels of Tasks. Nor can you show a linkage relationship with tasks.

I figured but I was SO hoping that someone was going to have a brilliant idea for me. :)
I have seen some add-on apps that talk about advanced hierarchy display for easy project management, but I have yet to see one where I can put a task under a task. Any suggestions for apps I may have missed?

See Chella's response above. Not sure if that works for you or not.
The only thing I could think of was to move everything up a level and use Initiatives like Epics and Epics like Internal Task 1 and Tasks for Client Task. But you would need a Premium Subscription to get Advanced Roadmaps.
