Helpdesk tickets are not generating automatically when users send emails to our Helpdesk.

We had Jira Service Desk setup to create emails automatically after users send email to our helpdesk dedicated distribution list, but tickets stop being created.

This could be a lot of things to be honest.

  • Have you verified your email handler to see if there is anything in the logs about the failure?
  • Is the request type that the incoming emails are linked to changed? (make sure only summary and description are mandatory at the most)
  • Anything in the logs generally?
