Does anyone know if there is an existing form app that has the ability to reference Insight fields/data?
Have looked into Proforma and Extension for JSD, but no luck yet. I know Atlassian just purchased Proforma - so maybe there will be integration soon.
Hi @Lucas Nager,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
Currently that is not possible, but the Atlassian Roadmap says that it is being worked on and will be available Q2-Q3 2022, just look for Access Insight fields through Forms.
Funny that you asked btw, I was just looking at the roadmap and saw it... :)

Hi @Mikael Sandberg , any suggestions on how to work around this until then? We have several fields that are supported by Insight, which totally eliminates any use of Proforma unless we create standard Jira fields. While, I completely understand that this does take time, there are some use cases that we just cannot put on hold until then.
So, if anyone has an idea on a possible workaround, I'm open to suggestions. Would automation work here?

@Thomas Hardin I don't have any suggestions, unless you use a data source to bring it in to the form, but then you would have to maintain both that and Insight. Which you could automate using an iPaaS platform like tray.io.

I think the question is what do you want to do with the fields?
Are you looking to have a field synchronized with an Insight attribute for easier JQL searching?
Are you looking to have a field, where you can write/edit an attribute of an object on an issue?
or...something else.

Hello,
Since we are near the end of Q2 2022, do you have a more precise date for this feature to be available?
Thank you

Hi,
We are Q12023 and it is now scheduled for Q12023. Could we know when we can reliably expect this feature in?
Thank you,
Guillaume

@Danny Brown I don't follow the DC stuff so I might be wrong, but it was my impression that this was already possible in DC? https://confluence.atlassian.com/servicemanagementserver/adding-assets-custom-fields-to-screens-in-jira-1044784426.html

Thanks for the reply. To be clear, we need to Insights field to be available in Proforma. I think I thought this was what was being solved here. It was on the app's roadmap before Atlassian purchased them.
Atlas it looks like it's still gathering interest. It's a huge roadblock for us. Please Atlassian.
