Hi,
The Quick Search bar in the top right part of the JSM screen lets me search the contents of tickets, but I would like to filter by reporter in there and I can't figure out how.
According to the Quick Search page, I should be able to type r:[username], but that doesn't work.

I've tried r:user@email.com, r:"User Name", reporter=user@email.com, reporter="User Name". I've confirmed that there are tickets with this user as a Reporter.
Anyone get this to work? Filtering by reporter would be so useful for me.
Hi @t_s_llc ,
this works ONLY in the following formats:
r:me (current user is reporter)
r:none (reporter is empty)
r:username
Please note that there are NO spaces in the query.
If you are unsure about the username, use the jira basic search to filter for the reporter you want, and then switch to advanced. the username is printed there.
Hope this helps!
- Tessa
ps: thanks for this question, I didn't know this one yet myself but had fun testing it real quickly :D
Thanks for the quick response!
So, I did what you said and the reporter username for me comes up as a very long unique id like the following:
reporter = qm:365006b9-09ed-4235-a975-62b7e5e9cf7f:a510bc99-10f1-4ec2-9701-193023167f31
[Results]
I cannot copy that into the Quick Search, nor would that be practical anyway. When I change that to the user's email address, it does return something in the Advanced Search (have to use quotes to include the @):
reporter = "user@domain.com"
[Results]
But it does not translate to Quick Search:
r:"user@domain.com"
[Nothing]
r:user@domain.com
[Nothing]
However, when I press Enter in the Quick Search field, it takes me to the Advanced Search page where it does return results using the correct filter.
Maybe this feature just isn't meant to be for me.
