Hello,
I created test.atlassian.net environment to learn Jira.
I am in the role of admin in my company.
How can I transfer all the projects or service desk project in Jira we use to the test environment?
I actually want to upload the copy to the test environment?
Hi @Barış Özer
This is one of the weakness of JSM. There's no out-of-the-box way of doing so.
You have two options.
1-You recreate everything manually in your "prod" environment.
2-You can use a third-party add-on. I recommend Configuration Manager for Jira from Appfire. I've used it in the past and it's working well.
Recently, a big company I've work with decided to stop developing in a separate environment. What they did is to create a "DEV" project and create everything in this project. When it's tested, they just add contexts to their fields, add the workflow to the other projects and recreate the forms. I suggest you try it, it's way easier than transfering everything.
Hope this helps.
Have a nice day

I want to transfer the "service desk" project from the live environment to the test environment.
We won't have problems in the live environment while copying, right?
Which app is better for this?
I will use it for free, app wiper after copying service desk project.
Any problems with the above steps?

No you won't have any problem transferring a project from your prod to your test environment.
Project Configurator for Jira is a great app to do so. I'd recommend this one.

Project Configurator is not available in cloud.
I'd use this one from Appfire.

Thank you very much for your answers! (:
As a total of 4 agents, we can use Jira Software and JSM on the test server, right?

I don't see why you couldn't. Normally your licenses include at least one DEV environment that you can activate.
