Hi,

Wondering if someone found a way to fix this.

I have a filter that uses a JQL query with an aqlFunction in it.

This filter is used in a widget in a Dashboard.

If the filter returns at least one issue, the widget is working correctly, showing the issue(s).

But if there's no issue, I get this error message that is really confusing for users :

Is there a way for the widget to only says there's no issues found ?

@Frederic Chartrand -

Can you provide which widget is used in your dashboard?  If it is a widget came out of the box from Atlassian (i.e. from Assets), then your best recommendation will be to raise a support issue with Atlassian Support (https://support.atlassian.com) for further troubleshooting.

Otherwise, you may need to contact the widget vendor for further support.

Please advise, so we can assist you further (especially if the widget is coming from Assets components of JSM).

This is a simple pie chart widget out of the box.

The widget works fine. The jql query in the filter to. It's just that if the search return no issue, I get this error message and not just a widget with no data in it. But the moment the filter in the widget find at least one issue, the widget work as intended. It seems like this particular widget doesn't handle well having no issue to display.

I changed the widget for a Two-dimensional one and I don't see an error message, only "No issue to display".

Seems like the problem is the Pie Chart widget. If there's nothing to display, the Pie Chart can't be rendered and give this error message and not just something saying : There's no issue"

For Pie-Chart that makes sense.  This is a deficiency of the gadget.  You should still proceed to report this problem to Atlassian Support.

Best, Joseph
