Entering Time in Tempo on a New Ticket

We have installed a trial version of Service Management and want to track time with Tempo Timesheets against each ticket.  When we open the ticket for the first time and click the Worklogs button under activity we see this message:

  • THERE ARE NO WORKLOGS FOR YOU TO SEE FOR THIS ISSUE.
  • You have not logged any work, but you can click the Tempo section in the sidebar to the right to see if others have.

We are then required to press a button at the top of the screen "Add Tempo to plan and track time".

Is there a way to configure Service management to automatically have Tempo added without doing on every ticket?

Thanks,

Gene

Hi Gene,

"Add Tempo to plan and track time" is a setting that affects all users for each issue. Once Tempo panel is added to the issue, it will be available to all users until someone hide it. Unfortunately there is no global option to have Tempo panel opened by default at this moment.

Best regards,

Chih from Tempo Support

Hi, Chih.

Is there an issue (suggestion or bug) that we can follow in case the development team creates a global option to enable the Tempo panel opened by default?

Hi Chih,

Are there any plans to revert this change anytime soon?

Thanks

This is currently out of Tempo's scope as it is now handled by Atlassian.

Hi, almost a year have passed since Gene asked this question, are there any progress with making the "Add Tempo to plan and track time" added by default instead of having to click on it with every issue that gets created?

@Tempo Support More than a year later: Any updates to this? It is really annoying that Tempo needs to be "activated" for each issue individually.
