Editing columns in Jira Structure

Hello everyone.

How can I restrict configuring columns in Jira Structure? For example, making columns editable only for Jira administrators. I tried to add restrictions by Manage Structure and Manage Views but it didn't help.

Thank you in advance.

Hi @Fariz Aliverdiyev ,

Dmitrii with ALM Works here.

You're actually on the right track!

To restrict editing columns in Structure Cloud go to 'Manage Structures' - 'Configure' and grant 'View' permission to a specific group. This particular group will be able to add columns to a structure, but editing would be impossible. Owner of a structure always have 'Control' permission (full control of a structure). You can grant 'Edit' or 'Edit generators' permission to your Jira Administrators.

I think this article about permissions in Structure Cloud should prove useful. It will give you an idea of how to distinguish access levels in other scenarios.

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,

Dmitrii
