I have filtered out a list of issues that I know need to be edited (different edits per issue, so I can't use Bulk edit).
I find myself clicking on an issue to edit it. When done, I go back to the list, and click on the next issue to edit (and sometimes I am not quite sure where I was on the list!).
What I would like to do is choose the issue at the top of the list. Edit it, and then click on Next to automatically open the next issue on the list? Or click on Previous to go back to see what I did on the earlier issue.
Are there such links available (and I just can't see them?)
thank you.
Hello @dpuech
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Which screen are you on when you create the filter?
From the Filters menu, navigating to the View All Issues page, I create a filter to get a list of issues. I opt to show the results in List View. Then I click on one of the issues in the results and it opens in the tab. In the upper right corner of the issue display is a button that says "Return to search". Next to that is "# of #", where the first number is the position in the list of the issue I clicked on, and the second number is the total count of issues in the list. And next to that are down and up arrows to let me move to the previous or next issue in the list.
Thank you very much Trudy. I see it now. As you might have guessed, I am new to JIRA.

Hi @dpuech
welcome to the community!
If you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, I think you might like the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. Every so-called sheet in JXL is powered by either a JQL query or a saved filter, meaning that you can pull in any issues that you might be interested in, and edit away.
This is how it looks in action:
As you can see above, you can also easily perform bulk changes using copy/paste. There a long list of other advanced features, too: From support for configurable issue hierarchies, to issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes
