Answer

No, at the moment Jira doesn't support SSL authentication.

Please note that there are 3 authenticating methods as of now supported by Jira REST API.

It is explained in the Jira Server platform REST API reference section Authentication and in the Security overview. In summary, the supported methods are:

• Basic authentication
• OAuth
• Cookie
