Disabling Tempo Time Tracking from Sub-tasks

I am looking for a way to disable Tempo Time tracking from sub-tasks. 

Tempo provides the ability to disable time tracking on parent tickets but not the other way around. 

I tried to hide the time tracking fields on sub-tasks and it does hide the original and remaining estimate. Unfortunately, the Tempo time tracking widget still appears on tickets and allows users to log time to the ticket. 

Any suggestions and/or ideas? Has anybody else found a way to remove the ability to track time in Tempo from sub-tasks?
