Default assignee is empty but issues are assigned to service desk user

I created some new components and set a default assignee to them. All issues related to these components are automatically assigned to this user. Now, I cleared the default assignee of the components, but all new issues still continue to be assigned to this user. How can I let without user assignment these issues?

I found the answer. I had the project lead still assigned to the Components on the Components page of that project.
